Derbyshire Photo Essay

These beautiful deer roam Chatsworth Estate, and now and again they allow you to get close enough to get great pictures like this.

Chatsworth House and the surrounding estate is one of my favorite places to visit, especially on a sunny day!

The stepping stones at Dovedale are a great picnic spot, although they can get a little busy on a summer’s day

Last weekend I climbed Mam Tor to watch the sunrise and was treated to this amazing view!

After the sunrise, this was my view on the way back down!

A few years ago I took a hill walking qualification, and this was the sunset at the end of our first day!

Black Rocks is a great climbing spot in the Peak District, although it has been spoilt by local kids carving their names into the rock.

Winnats Pass is one of the most striking places in the Peak District, the road winds through a steep sided gorge before desending into the village of Castleton.
